Situated in the Hope Valley, just 10 miles south west of Sheffield, Hathersage is a thriving working village which is well served by rail - with regular trains to Sheffield and Manchester (average journey time 20 mins and 54 mins respectively). For more information see: National Rail Enquiries...

Hathersage is ideally placed for a wide variety of recreational pursuits, with good walking country on the doorstep and climbing on the nearby ‘edges’ (most famous of which is Stanage Edge, pictured above). There is a heated outdoor swimming pool in the village, a well patronised restaurant, full range of shops and several good pubs within easy walking distance.

The village boasts a number of thriving clubs and interest groups for cricket, football, amateur dramatics, bowling, painting, horticulture and there is also a play group
